October 4, 2007 – It is with great sorrow that the Buchanan Valley Fire Department announced the death of a firefighter in the Line of Duty. Adam Cole died as a result of an auto accident while responding to a fire call on October 4th, 2007.
Adam was a Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician for the Buchanan Valley Fire Department for the past Three years. He had recently completed his Emergency Medical Technician certification and was in the final stages of the hiring process by District of Columbia Fire Department. Adam’s dream was to become a professional firefighter in the Nation’s Capital. Adam’s smile, personality and dedication will be missed by all the members of our department.
