This evening Rescue Engine, Engine Tanker and Special Unit 27 with 10 total responded for the house fire on Buchanan Valley Road (27-5). Enroute units were advised of a fire involving the rear of the house with a wheel-chair bound resident unable to get out. 27 units quickly arrived to find a fire running the void space in the rear of the house with the occupant outside. The Box was reduced to 27 units only. After extensive opening up the fire was contained to the rear door frame and void space.
