July-5th- Building Fire- Shortly after 2300 hours the pre alert was sounded for a building fire in box 27-7, in the 6000 block of Chambersburg Road.  ET-27 along with the Chief responded and was advised by county of a working building fire at Mister Ed-s Store.  This store was known to by many of people with the large talking elephant.  This building had been built onto many of times, making a maze like lay out.  ET-27 arrived on scene to find heavy smoke showing from a single story wood frame candy store/elephant museum.  ET-27 crew forced entry and got a line on the fire.  While forcing entry, the fire had self vented through the roof and ran the open attic area.  E4-1 arrived and pulled a back up line from ET-27, while E7-1 pulled a 3" and made entry into museum, in order to hold fire from that section of building. E5-1 made entry to the rear of building.  Extensive salvage and overhaul was requested due to construction of the building and large amount of merchandise inside.  Brush 27 with it's CAFS was utilized for this process.  The fire was contained  to the center portion of building, with heavy heat/smoke damage thru-out the entire building.  At 0400 the box was placed in service.  PSP Fire Marchall is currently investigating this fire.  This was the second night in a row for our Volunteers being out almost all night and the 4th working fire in 36 hours.
