January 27th-AFG Grant Awarded- Today it was announced that BVFD will be receiving a

$57,000.00 grant to replace all of our fire hose.  With several other projects being completed

over the last several years, much of our hose is showing it's age.  With some of our Supply Hose

being older than our Fire Department the grant was very much needed.  With a short demo

period for manufactures, the goal is to have the new hose ordered and in service by June 1, 2012.

This grant has a 5% cost match that falls on BVFD and this is the third year in a row for BVFD

receiving an AFG Award. Just wait for #4........
